    In May 2026, a satellite internet technology test satellite mission was successfully launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center, sending four satellites into space aboard a single rocket in a "one rocket, four satellites" configuration. Among the four satellites deployed in this mission, three were equipped with flexible solar wings developed by the Overall Design Department of the Fifth Academy (China Academy of Space Technology). The successful completion of in-orbit verification marks that the Fifth Academy's flexible solar wings have officially entered the mature stage of batch production.
